School is Fun

Activity based learning

“If I hear, I remember. If I do, I understand.” When learning is based on practical activities/experience, it kindles the child’s interest in learning and helps them to understand and remember them easily. We have a plethora of activities for all classes starting from KG. We start with the Montessori materials in KG and conduct activities based on the concepts they learn in class. Saturday’s are book free days and are utilized solely for activities and competitions.

Co-Scholastic Activities

________________________________________So many things to do, so little time

Most studies find that children who participate in extracurricular activities are more successful academically than those who don't. SSV strongly believes in all round development of the students. Hence we motive all the children to take part in co-scholastic activities. We provide coaching for Western Dance, Classical Dance, Keyboard, Vocal Music, Drums, Beat-box, Taek-won-do, Skating, Yoga, Silambam, Archery and Fencing. The children choose any 2 of these activities and are trained to strike the right balance between these activities and academics. We also follow the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern as mandated by the CBSE and evaluate our students’ performance in Co-scholastic activities periodically.

Sports

We at SSV believe in the cliché "A Sound mind in a sound body"

In an era, when sports also form a sound career option, coaching in games and sports are indispensable. SSV provides excellent facilities for Atheletics (Track & Field) , Kho-kho, Volley-ball, Basket ball, Cricket, Table tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc. We have an in-door play area for pre KG kids and a well planned out-door play area for primary children. SSV encourages students to take part in sports under expert guidance for enjoyment, relaxation and to keep themselves fit. Students who excel in sports are identified and given special coaching under the supervision of specialist coaches and encouraged to participate in district, state and national events.
